Character focus this fall- each week we go over a letter in the acronym “practice”
P (Play)- Play because you love it! Nehemiah 8:10
R (Respect)- Respect your coaches, teammates, opponents, referees with your words and actions. Build others up with your words. Ephesians 4:29
A (Act)- What you do matters. How you act matters. Treat others the way you would like to be treated. Be an example to others by the way you treat people. John 13:35
C (Christ)- Jesus is our “why”. He is the reason we do anything. We play soccer to our best ability to glorify God. John 3:16
T (Tough)- Sometimes you win, and sometimes you lose. How will you respond? 1 Corinthians 15:58
I (Invite)- We are one team. There is no making fun of anyone, ever. We are inclusive of others. Genesis 1:27
C (Create)- Take risks on the field. Don’t be afraid to fail or try new things on the field. We can be creative because our God is the ultimate Creator. James 1:17
E (Excel)- If you want to be good at something, you have to practice a lot. You cannot expect to be good at anything without much effort and practice. 1 Timothy 4:8
